one of my most favorite pastimes is going to the movies. i don’t know what it is, but suck me into a good storyline with a couple of good actors, and i’m simply in heaven. it’s a good thing my better-half feels the same way so there’s never any hesitation when the mood strikes us to pick out the latest release. it’s always a good day when we can squeeze in a movie. personally, i love a matinee then dinner afterward. most times we plan far enough ahead to trek over to the theater on foot then mosey back at a leisurely pace, popping into a local restaurant when one strikes our fancy. lately, we’ve been able to fit in several movies so i’m happy to recommend a few: mission impossible – this franchise keeps getting better; trainwreck – nice debut for comedian amy schumer; ant-man – wasn’t certain i wanted to see this one, but i’m glad i did.
and since it’s a matinee i’m attending i wanted to keep my look modern, but comfy. this denim jumpsuit that’s on trend definitely fits the bill. pop a brightly colored scarf around the neckline for an added punch. bright colors around the face help to make the skin glow, and help make us look younger. i pulled out a pair of metallic sandals, and a fun patterned clutch to finish off my ootd (outfit of the day). now i’m ready for an easy-breezy afternoon at the movies.

Okay… here’s the thing about jumpsuits — especially when one is at a theater and has to hurriedly run to the ladies room in the middle of a movie (you pretty much have to guess whether the movie is at a slow bit or if something awesome is about to happen that you might miss.): how do you go to the bathroom quickly? You basically have to get undressed just to pee. And since there is no “pause” button, you will undoubtedly miss some pertinent bit of the movie whilst you’re struggling with your jumpsuit in those tiny cubicles, then have to ask your partner what you missed, thereby pissing him off and missing something else while he’s explaining what you missed>. Take it from me, it’s so much easier to go to a movie in a dress, commando, and slightly dehydrated.
you definitely have to plan ahead for a potty break. or no drinks. but what’s the fun of that?
