there has been a considerable amount of rainfall in this neck of the woods. so it’s only logical to have a raincoat on standby. this rendition from Everlane is a modern take on a classic coat – the Macintosh. the beauty of this coat is its utter simplicity. no frills, no bells, no whistles. just the way i like it. what this coat does have is a water-resistant finish and partial lining to keep it lightweight. it’s the perfect transitional outerwear.
do you see red yet? it’s that time of year when this color comes to the forefront. but we can’t let the christmas decorations have all the fun with this vibrant color. enter a pair of red pintucked pants from Anthropologie that just might become a new favorite thanks to a comfy fit and flattering flared leg. the pink and red blouse is from Target but, (i know, don’t hate me) it was purchased several years ago. similar here and here. this blouse has a distinctive color palette and bold print that i love! if you think you can’t pull off a bold pattern on its own try layering it underneath a black cashmere crewneck with only the collar and cuffs peeking out.

I love a good red in any form but cannot wear it and am so envious . This is a lovely look, so elegant.
