well, the rain held off long enough to slip into a suede jacket. anyone remember the jerry seinfeld episode where his suede jacket was ruined in the rain? jerry spent a fortune on it only to wear it once. can anyone relate? whenever i pull out my suede boots or jacket from the closet, i always check the weather forecast – twice. there’s a solution for my jacket just turn the lining inside out, but even though my boots have been treated against the elements with a protective spray, i hate to take a chance.
but the rain held, and i’m sporting an all-time favorite pair of boots from J.Crew that are years old (similar here and here) that look great with skirts and denim alike. since riding boots are the perfect partner with skinny jeans, i chose a dark rinse pair from Ann Taylor then tossed on a black cashmere turtleneck from Talbots. since black and brown is a fantastic winter color combo and i was in a suede sort of mood i dusted off my brown suede jacket (similar here and here) and popped it over the turtleneck. a casual leather hobo bag from Frye and a rosary station necklace from Tory Burch complete the look. okay, weatherman, i’m counting on your forecast. don’t let me down.
