last week my trusty photographer and i zipped down to Atlanta to attend Global Runway a fashion presentation held at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. the event showcased the best of ATL Skypointe, Atlanta airports award-winning concessions program. brands represented in the fashion presentation included Brooks Brothers, Spanx, Ex Officio, and Sean John. but this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as how many retailers are housed under the airport’s roof. which is comforting to know. it seems every time i head out the door i invariably forget one essential item needed for my trip. but Atlanta Skypointe has my back when i have to shop on the fly. whether i need to replace blush, headphones, sunscreen, or earrings, there’s a retail store located in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport that can help.
our emcee for the evening was Joe Zee, former fashion director at W magazine. it was such a treat to meet him. but he wasn’t the only one who showed up at Global Runway. there were so many people hard at work behind the scenes making certain the evening ran like clockwork. and it did!
tumi luggage was on hand, showcasing the latest and greatest suitcases for travel near and far.
yours truly having a photo op on Global Runway’s red carpet. a simple color combo is always a good bet for any special occasion. so black and white was my first choice. but i added a little glitz with a black sequin skirt (old, similar here). and a simple white shirt is glammed up with eyelet. a pop of color is combined with a rainbow-colored handbag. and a gold-tone black belt always adds subtle sophistication.
MAC cosmetics were on deck with the newest lip shades for summer. plus lots of other goodies.
this video booth was the highlight of the event. Hype Lab created custom videos in just minutes.

there’s always a tranquil spot where you can rest your feet for a moment or two.

can you believe these sketches were finished in under five minutes?

as you can see Global Runway 2019 was loads of fun and a huge success. can’t wait for next year!
a big thank you to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring fresh ideas to you.

What colour brassiere should be worn under a white eyelet top?
White or nude
it just depends. if you want the brasserie to remain unnoticable go with a flesh tone bra. pale blush is also an option as is white. but honestly, anything goes these days even red!
Hi Beth, you look as though you had an amazing day. You look absolutely stunning and looked every bit the part. Your blouse is so different and goes beautifully with your skirt, the rainbow đ handbag adds that pop of colour too. The Patricia Nash bags look wonderful, I’ve not come across the name before. What a great post xoxo
it was a fun evening, julie! mr. style and i were pooped when we returned home that evening. check out patricia nash handbags – they’re fun!
You look so lovely! Are you wearing a black bra or cami under the eyelet blouse?
thank you! i am wearing a black lace bra.
Beth, you looked gorgous for this event. I can’t help but notice the black underneath the lovely white blouse. I have seen this same wardrobe choice styled by one of my favorite actresses on a favorite TV show working in a government/political setting. Is this just a lacy black bra? Camisole? Is this a new sophisticated fashion statement? Where do you think this style choice is appropriate……besides a very glamorous event such as the one you were attending?
Thanks for your time.
honestly, dessie, i have worn a black bra underneath a sheer black blouse before. the outfit was casual through and through. of course, lot’s of women will gasp and think you’re making a fashion faux pas. but these days there is no wrong color to wear underneath white or anything else for that matter. it just depends on how fashion forward you want to be.
Fun! Your photographer did a great job! đ
Love that last photo of you all, and that orange dress is gorgeous. I’ve definitely spent lots of time in and out of that airport over the years.
that orange dress is gorgeous, isn’t it sue! we had a ball at Global Runway. Hartsfield-Jackson Airport remains one of my favorites in all the world. which one’s yours?
I really covet that belt! I, too, noticed the dark bra–I assumed it was one of those that you see worn without a top over them, but wasn’t sure.
it’s a black lace bra that’s feminine through and through. just wanted a little extra something with my outfit.
you look amazing. perfect make up and hair as well. The bag is fun
Sorry not a fan of showing your bra. Especially once you are over the age of 25.
