as much as i love a classic look, there’s always room in my closet for the latest trend. over the knee boots are still going strong this season, because they go with everything–dresses, skirts, or skinny jeans, take your pick.
for today’s ootd, i kept the look simple with a silk blouse tucked underneath a turtleneck tunic. it’s particularly fresh and modern paired with skinny jeans and over-the-knee-boots. don’t you love the long over lean look that’s created? a forgiving style that adapts well to any body type. just remember, it’s all about proportions. the tunic could be a tad shorter, but definitely not longer, at least not when over-the-knee-boots are in play. these deep chocolate brown boots just beg to take center stage. and they should.
so what do you think ladies? are you ready to add a trend to your closet?

Your post today is such a coincidence. I had ordered a sleveless Turtle neck online and it came yesterday. I was shocked because it was tunic length and I wasn’t sure I wanted that length. But after seeing your post today, I’m going to give it a try with the way you styled it. A great look.
Thanks for your inspiration.
you will have to let me know how the tunic turns out! can’t wait to hear.

Cute! I love the boots and sweater. I have two pairs of OTK boots–a black pair and a taupe, and I really like them. They keep me toasty when it’s cold, and they lengthen the legs. They’re both suede though, so I have to be careful not to wear them if it’s going to rain. The bag is perfect with these!
lol! i think we talked about the seinfield episode when jerry ruins his brand new suede jacket walking in the snow! i always think of that when it’s time to wear suede.

I was in Tampa, FL not long ago at the airport there and I actually met the guy John O’Hurley, who played J Peterman, who was Elaine’s boss on Seinfeld! He was in front of me in line and we chatted–I said “is it you or are you just a dead ringer for him?” and he said, “that would be me!” Then, he told me he actually bought the J Peterman company after he left the show!! I died laughing. So fitting. I told him I still laugh all the way through those catalogs, and I still get them.
Love this look. Good looking boots and sweater.
thanks, bonnie! i particularly like green tunic. green can be tricky but this is a beautiful shade.

You look so cozy. Love the hells on that boots. I had a pair with heels like that and were great: thin enough to be chic and low enough to be confortable.
hi maria! kitten heels are the perfect height. they’re chic and comfy. it’s always a good day when i find a pair i like. but when they’re boots? even better.

Love the otk boots! The little bit of heel dresses them up without fear of tipping over…ha! (Or being propositioned)..ha! Love the detailing on the handbag. xoxo
you are too funny, donna! but these otk boots are certainly fun to wear.
