all right gang, checking in with my progress on the best fat loss program out there. if you’re interested the next Faster Way to Fat Loss boot camp starts Monday, June 18th. many of you remember that i turn 60 this august. that’s only two short months away! and this year i wanted to give myself the gift of health. so back in january 2018 i embarked on a fitness journey that focused on nutrition and exercise. because one thing i’ve learned is that you can’t out-exercise poor nutrition. but we also need to build lean muscle. that’s where Faster Way to Fat Loss stepped in to help. i will share that Faster Way to Fat Loss is a lifestyle, not a diet. this program run by mastermind Amanda Tress teaches how to fuel your body and maintain energy throughout the day while you naturally burn fat. it’s a proven method of restructuring and repairing your metabolic system and increasing your metabolism – something many of us struggle with since hitting menopause and beyond!
FASTer Way to Fat Loss is extremely easy to follow and lays everything out step by step. during the 6-week program, you receive a full program guide complete with daily workouts, nutritional guidelines, webinars, meal plan information and access to a Facebook group to get all of your questions answered.

six months into the program i feel great and am truly amazed at what my body is capable of doing. each and every time i finish a sweaty workout i am so proud i made it to the end. these days, i can take just about anything that’s thrown at me at the gym. that in itself is a major victory. and i’m proving to myself that we can age any way we want. but a happy and healthy life starts with a regular exercise regimen.
researchers at the University of Birmingham and King’s College London have found that staying active keeps the body young and healthy. the study showed that loss of muscle mass and strength did not occur in those who exercise regularly. Dr Niharika Arora Duggal, also of the University of Birmingham, said: “We hope these findings prevent the danger that, as a society, we accept that old age and disease are normal bedfellows and that the third age of man is something to be endured and not enjoyed.”
a study by UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources published in January found that exercise can reverse damage to sedentary, aging hearts and may help prevent risk of future heart failure — so long as it’s enough exercise and it’s started in time. to reap the greatest reward, regular workouts should begin by late middle age (before age 65) and the exercise needs to be performed four to five times a week.

three reasons to love this program:
ONE – every detail is planned out for you. the online workouts have exact directions and links to watch the moves. but if you love working out at The Barre, or have another workout routine you’re used to like Spin Class or Pilates no problem. there are options, ladies, options. my workout routine consists of two sessions per week at Orange Theory the other three are spent in my home gym with Amanda (the mastermind behind FWTFL). the great thing about FASTer Way To Fat Loss is you can make it work with your lifestyle!
TWO – this is a lifestyle, not a diet. we use My Fitness Pal app to track calories and macros, but the mentality is progress, not perfection. the goal is to eat dairy free, grain free and gluten free as much as possible but again, there’s flexibility. do i have a cocktail or glass of wine on occasion? absolutely! do i have dessert on occasion? yes! as i mentioned, FASTerWayToFatLoss is a lifestyle change, not a diet. this program teaches how to cut fat and gain lean muscle while still living life to its fullest.
THREE – it is a proven system that helps women and men (yes, there is a program for men) lose fat. and there’s no age limit! actually, you’ve heard me talk about the importance of exercise as we age. the amount of muscle we lose each year is alarming. you’ve heard it said “use it or lose it.” it’s true! my goal is to live the best life possible at any age. and exercise is key.

How much weight have you lost?
gosh, sharon, we don’t regularly weigh ourselves with this program so i honestly don’t know. but i do see a difference in my body and the way my clothes fit. i’m more interested in a healthy, fit body than a number on the scale.
you look fantastic! What do you eat for a grain free, dairy/gluten free lunch on the go?
i love hummus and red peppers! xo
Good for you, Beth. 60 is young to me! (spoken by the 64 year old!) hahaaaaaa. Keep it up!
ha ha, big sis! i can’t ever catch up as you’ll always have four years on me.

Wow, Beth, you’ve put in the work and it shows! You were always in good shape, but now you look like an athlete! Any ideas for a good non-dairy creamer for my morning coffee?
thanks, diane! i switched to califia farms almond milk creamer. it’s good!
