Going to the beach is probably my favorite way to vacation during the summer. There’s nothing quite as refreshing and relaxing as sticking my toes in the sand and listening to the waves crash! It’s the ultimate way to recharge. So today we are talking about Essential Makeup Must-Haves for a Radiant Getaway.
But before I pack my bags, I can’t forget to equip myself with the best beach beauty products to ensure a flawless and radiant appearance throughout my getaway.
I’m a true makeup lover at heart and never go bare-faced (really anywhere!). However I do pare down my beauty routine a bit at the beach, but while also having a little fun with my look along the waterfront! I find that when I’m in a vacation-vibe environment, it’s time to have a little fun along the wayโฆand that goes for your makeup look!

Beach Vibes: Essential Makeup Must-Haves for a Radiant Getaway
Sunscreen First
No beach beauty regimen is complete without sunscreen, which is undeniably the most crucial product to shield your skin from harmful UV rays. Opt for a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF. I am really enjoying this brand new and inventive lightweight Healthy Glow Invisible Sunscreen Oil SPF 30 from Paula’s Choice, $29. It’s fantastic for us super dry to normal skin gals.
But if you have oily skin, a great mattifying option from Paula’s Choice is their Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid with SPF 50, $37. It’s been a best seller for years.

Tinted Moisturizer
Instead of heavy foundation, opt for a lightweight tinted moisturizer with SPF. It provides sheer coverage, evens out your skin tone, and keeps your skin hydrated. If you’ve been following me for anytime, you know I’m a huge fan of the It Cosmetics CC+ Glow Nude foundation with SPF 40, $47.
I wear shade medium, and it truly gives me the most realistic dewy finish that feels very beach worthy and non-fussy. Then I just spot treat my under eyes and any blemishes with a few dots of the longest wearing concealer I own – and it’s under $10. The NYX Cosmetics Can’t Stop Won’t Stop concealer dries down really quickly with amazing coverage.
And of course, I have to set my skin tints and concealer with my favorite setting powder that now comes in a compact formula – finally! The Laura Mercier Real Flawless Luminous Perfecting Talc free powder, $48 is the best for traveling with or to throw in your purse. It’s super sheer and lightweight – perfect for easy breezy skin.

Colorful or Waterproof Mascara
Enhancing your lashes for a casual night out at the beach is possible with the right mascara. Sometimes you could even go without eyeshadow if you choose a colorful mascara other than black, just for fun! I am currently really excited about the Benefit Bad Gal Bang in Brightening Blue, $28.
It gives the lashes an unexpected punch of color that mimics the blue ocean! I added the GXVE Beauty Line It Up Clean Liner, $20 in shade “Bathwater” for even more drama because this liner stays PUT and I unapologetically love color.
Bronzer + Blush
I don’t like to tan my face by the real sun, so I have to fake it somehow! One of the best ways is to use the GXVE Pick It Up Cream + Powder Bronzer Duo, $28, I’m wearing in shade “Toastin.” You can use the cream formula first to lay down the contour, then add the powder bronzer to warm up the skin and keep the cream contour in place!
It’s a fantastic product duo product. And guess what?? I even used powder bronzer as my brown shadow with this look. No shadow palette needed! I use the Anisa Beauty buffing bronzer brush, $34, to apply both cream and powder bronzers for ultimate sculpting power!
Then I add the weightless long-lasting sweat proof Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid blush, $23 in shade “Joy” (bright coral) that creates the most beautiful flush of color. Very little product needed to get a beautiful happy complexion.

Tinted Lip Balms
Don’t forget about your lips! Protect them from dryness with a hydrating lip balm with color for an effortless look that is non-sticky. Find a formula enriched with moisturizing ingredients like shea butter or pumpkin seed oil, such as the Buxom Power-full Plump Lip Balm $19, in “first crush” which is a cool coral shade. It also has plumping properties and reacts to your ph level to give you your perfect shade.
I own this formula in their most popular shade of mauve called “Dolly Fever”as well and love how easy breezy these lip products are to wear.
And you can make any of your favorite lip colors work as lip protectants from the sun too! Just add a clear lip balm with high SPF underneath like the trust SPF skincare brand, EltaMD UV lip balm, $14, that has a satin finish but gives great hydration and moisture retention to the lips.
