Is anyone else *over* the summer weather yet? I’ve gotta say, I definitely have the itch for temperatures to cool off, changing of the leaves, and switching from snow cones to warm vanilla lattes (my fave). As we look forward to the changing of the seasons, officially on September 23rd, it’s time to revamp not only our wardrobes but also our beauty cabinets! So today, my Fall Beauty Preview.
Barely-there champagne shades are swapped out for embracing the colors of the season: rich browns, golds, and burgundy. Light and tropical scents are replaced with warm mysterious fragrances. Don’t forget skincare too - fall brings drier air = dryer skin.
If you are just as excited as I am about Fall, here are some ideas on how to get your face ready when the first leaf falls…

Clinique All About Eyes Depuffing Eye Serum, $38. Actually, this eye serum is appropriate all year round, but in the fall, I like to switch to red wine, but that can make me have puffy eyes the next day! Store this handy rollerball in the fridge, and rub over tired eyes for quick pick me up!
For the rest of the face, get the dynamic duo of StriVetin’s Super-C Brighten & Correct Serum, $72. It has two powerhouse ingredients in one product - the brightening power of Vitamin C and the correcting power of texture and fine lines with Retinol. Together in one supercharged, lightweight serum, this will get your skin ready for the changing air.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette, $45. It’s one of the most coveted palettes right now with over 9K reviews and a 4.8 star rating! And, its absolutely perfect shades of mulberry, bronze, sienna, dusty rose, etc, make it the ultimate palette everyone should own this fall. I’m wearing at least 6 shades from this 12 shade palette on my eyes in this post! Bonus - it comes with the best dual-sided eye brush!
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush in “Pillow Talk,” $42. Blush has been THE product of the spring and summer, and I don’t think there is any stopping it’s popularity for fall. We lose a lot of natural color in our faces as we arrive into the fall and winter, so we must put that color back onto our faces! This nude blush with a slight hint of pink, is a color-rich shade filled with finely crushed pearls to give your skin a limitless glow. And it’s more popular sister product is the iconic Pillow Talk lipstick! I own this blush formula in 3 shades it’s that gorgeous.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in “Uncuffed,” $28. A dusty-rose lip look is a fall-appropriate way to incorporate pink, but in an earthy tone way. How pretty is this lip color on?? Feels like sophisticated autumn! Throw out the bright corals and hot pinks, and switch over to mauves, plum, and rose shades that will be the go-to choices for a soft yet alluring pout.
For those seeking a bolder statement, deep berry shades like blackberry or wine will be popular choices, like Rare Beauty lip Soufflé in “Strengthen,” $20. This soft silky matte lip product is so very comfortable, like a warm blanket on the lips!
And don’t forget to add the Laneige Lip Mask, $24, to your fall beauty cabinet - a must-have to keep away the flaky dry lip syndrome! Watch my short video where I show you a quick tip on getting your lips exfoliated quickly using this product!
Super Amber by Ellis Brooklyn, $108. Of course perfume is SUCH a personal choice, and some people probably rarely think about changing their scent. But I sure do when the seasons flip! Summer feels like tropical or floral scents, however, why not try a scent that smells like the epitome of fall??
I am already wearing this Super Amber daily, because it smells just as described - “ever imagined perfume as a texture? A cozy, super warm, addictive scent that envelops like a cashmere blanket on warm bare skin.” If you like vanilla orchid, cedar wood, and of course amber, try this one since they offer the travel size to make sure you like it.
