Don't be fooled by its rosy hue; pink setting powder is a game-changer when it comes to combating those pesky dark under-eye circles. In this blog post, we'll explore why maybe you should give pink setting powder a try, and unlock its magical benefits.
Color theory plays a crucial role in the world of makeup. According to the principles of color theory, pink is the opposite of blue and green on the color wheel, making it an ideal shade to neutralize dark under-eye circles to effectively brighten and illuminate the skin.
Today I’m using my very favorite pink powder, the Huda Beauty Easy Bake “Cherry Blossom” powder, $38. (It’s always selling out, so if you go to purchase it, don’t give up, they always restock but it goes fast!)
I have bought other cheaper pink powders in the past, but this one outworks all the others in my opinion. Its bubble gum pink pigmentation helps to counterbalance the darkness, resulting in a more refreshed and radiant look. And the ever-so-faint scent of cherries is absolutely delightful when applying! It smells elegant if that’s a thing!
In addition to its color-correcting properties, pink setting powder serves as an excellent tool for setting makeup. First I apply my foundation, then my concealer, using ELF Camo 16hr Concealer in “medium sand” $7, and my go-to concealer brush by BK Beauty, $24.
Then comes the fun part. Take a small sponge and get it slightly wet with water. This small step makes a big difference. I’m using the Amazon beauty blender dupes, $9, that work just as good as the $20 original.
I then dip the sponge into the pink powder and blot it onto the blended concealer and even around my nose, to lock my makeup in place and prevent creasing or fading throughout the day. Next, take a super fluffy eyeshadow brush and brush away any excess powder left. This extra step not only ensures a flawless finish but also helps your under-eye makeup last longer, leaving you with a fresh and flawless look that won't budge.
One of the best things about pink setting powder is its versatility. While it may seem counterintuitive for women with darker skin tones to use a pink-toned product, it actually works remarkably well across a range of skin tones. Pink setting powder blends seamlessly into the skin, adapting to the underlying pigmentation and providing an even, natural finish. So, whether you have fair, medium, or deep skin, you can confidently embrace the power of pink setting powder to address your under-eye concerns.
Of course, after the under eyes are brightened, my last step is to add a beautiful blush to also give my complexion some life. I can’t get enough of the Charlotte Tilbury, Cheek to Chic blush in shade, “love is the drug,” $42. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it more than once here on the blog! Place it up higher on the cheek towards the under eyes to keep with the rosy feel!
Another advantage of pink setting powder is its user-friendly application. It is typically available in loose or pressed forms, making it easy to apply with a fluffy brush, powder puff, or sponge. The lightweight and finely milled texture of this specific Huda Beauty powder, ensures a seamless blend, preventing any cakey or heavy appearance. And have I mentioned its yummy cherry smell??
Pink setting powder can be used as a standalone product for a more natural, everyday look or as a finishing touch over concealers to complete your makeup routine.
In the end, when it comes to battling dark under-eye circles, pink setting powder is a secret weapon that every woman should give a try. Its color-correcting properties, brightening effects, and ability to set makeup make it a versatile and essential addition to any beauty routine.
So, next time you're on the hunt for a solution to those pesky under-eye circles, don't shy away from pink—embrace it and unlock its transformative powers. Let pink setting powder be your ally in achieving a refreshed, radiant, and flawless under-eye area.

Does it settle in the fine lines under your eyes? Every powder I have tried seems to accentuate those fine lines, especially when I smile.
If settling of powder seems to be an issue, try to switch up your method of application. Try wetting the egg sponge like I mentioned above (just damp though) then press and roll the loose powder onto the area you’re trying to brighten. Then once it dries down, use a fluffy eyeshadow brush (clean!) to buff away any extra sitting on top of the skin. Also, finely milled loose is usually best and to make sure those under eye beds are moisturized and not dry. Hope these tips help!
