It's safe to say our culture is obsessed with aging. But the truth of the matter is that aging is unavoidable. Honestly, I've embraced my age. It's all about aging with grace, strength, and beauty and being the best version of ourselves no matter our age. And it's essential to make healthy choices that affect our physical and mental well-being. They go hand in hand. So today I am sharing My Favorite Anti-Aging Skincare; along with helpful tips and tricks for achieving healthy skin from the inside out.
The good news is it's never too late to start, especially regarding skincare. Even if you have neglected a skincare routine your entire life, you can begin today and expect results. And it's not just our faces that we need to take care of; our bodies need attention too! Recently I've been using Nécessaire and their Body Trio that helps rehydrate, moisturize, and firm - they're all packed with facial-grade ingredients for better skin from the neck down.

First, let's explore how our skin ages.
Collagen Breakdown
Collagen is the connective tissue responsible for the firmness of our skin. When we hit our thirties, our bodies lose collagen, leading to wrinkles and dull skin, and our skin becomes drier, thinner, and less elastic.
Exposure to UV Radiation
Damage from UV exposure ranges from premature wrinkles to dangerous skin cancer. The degree of damage depends on the intensity of UV rays and the length of time your skin has been exposed without protection.
Unfortunately, growing up in the seventies, I did not incorporate sunscreen into my routine. Instead, I baked for hours in the sun with baby oil causing numerous sunburns and lots of sun damage.
Oxidation
Skin oxidizes just like a penny or a car. Oxidative stress starts with free radicals found in the environment, like air pollution, smoking, and pesticides. Hello, 21st century that's filled with oxidative stress.
Inflammation
There are all sorts of causes for inflammation, but the chief culprits are stress and a poor diet, and both cause your body to produce hormones that affect insulin levels.
Glycation
Overeating sugar is another cause of inflammation. Sugar molecules bond to the skin and break down collagen and elastin.
Before we get into skincare, let's look at a few tips that don't cost a dime that will help protect our skin.
Recently, on Instagram and YouTube, I partnered with Nécessaire and their Body Trio body care treatments ideal for compromised, dry, aged skin. Néccessaire believes it's just as important to take care of body skincare and not just face skincare. Their motto is to treat your body just like we would treat our face. It makes sense, but we overlook our bodies and focus on our faces.
But after trying Nécessaire's Body Trio, I became obsessed with their products, and I mean obsessed. And that's because I've seen a real difference when I consistently use Nécessaire Body Cream with five ceramides that moisturize my skin, Body Serum with hyaluronic acid that hydrates and plumps, and a Neck Serum with five peptides that lift and firm. I don't know about you, but I need all the help with my neck that's not only aging along with me but is compromised by tech-neck since I'm hunched over my phone or laptop…
The Body Trio are:
Hypoallergenic
Dermatologist-Tested
Vegan
Cruelty-Free
In the daytime, I combine the Body Cream with one pump of the Body Serum for overall coverage of my arms, legs, and body. Then at night, I use the Neck Serum on my neck with upward motions (remember, I need all the help I can get) and apply it to my décolletage. I massage both until they are absorbed into my skin.
Nécessaire offers my subscribers 10% off the entire website with code BD10! The Body Treatment Cream Set is valued at $150, but in the bundle, it is $110 + 10% off with code BD10, making it $99 for three full-size products valued at $150
I know you will be just as obsessed with Nécessaire as I am. I've noticed a difference, especially with my crepey skin.
I've also recently partnered with CurrentBody and their Skin LED masks for my face and décolletage. Both combine red and near infra-red light therapy that
increases collagen production, calms redness, improves skin tone, boosts circulation, and is comfortable to wear.
Both are 10-minute treatment times, which makes it easy to fit into a routine. After using both for a month, one of my besties commented on how radiant my skin looked! The masks are an investment, but if you want to take the next step in your skincare routine, I highly recommend CurrentBody because it works. They're offering my readers $60 off with code BETH for the CurrentBody Skin LED Mask and $50 off the Neck and Dec Device.
