kicking off monday with a variation of my style uniform. blazer and blue jeans remained intact. the button-down was replaced with a turtleneck and ballet flats exchanged for booties. but not just any booties. these are sock booties that are trending at the moment. close fit at the top they are a smidge dressier than regular booties and can be worn with dresses or skirts. these booties were purchased last season seen here and here on the blog. but i’ve linked similar booties here, and here
this boyfriend blazer from target last seen here is my new style crush. love the oversized fit and longer length. it’s the perfect jacket when temps are bouncing from the fifties in the morning to seventies by late afternoon. and i have to admit i’m a sucker for the traditional herringbone pattern. a sleeveless turtleneck is a great choice for warmer days. what a smart layering piece.

are you ready for monday, gang? i’m about 95% there. all the blame goes to my fun weekend here in georgia! but let’s kick off the week ready or not.

This one “used” to be me until we moved to FL. I could wear a black turtle, hoops, jeans and blazers all winter long and look polished even on construction sites. This get up even looked good with steel toe boots if you can imagine!
I am glad you had a great weekend – this is the time of year to celebrate because the weather can be perfect for outdoor activities. My favorite clothing item is a jacket (not always a blazer though). I recently gave away (to Housing Works) some great jackets that I probably had for 10-15 years. They just didn’t fit well enough. One area that changes is the sleeve width and as you said in your recent video, shoulder padding. I will definitely be on the hunt for a longer jacket like the one you are wearing.
Beth, this is a great little tweed bag. Any link or info?
I love a longer, loose jacket, too–and grey is ideal as it plays nicely with so many different things. You look great. Happy Monday!
