monday is always singing those blues so if you can’t beat the system why not join with a little (or a lot) blue sprinkled into your wardrobe? blue is a fantastic color any time of year, but it’s especially cool and calming on a hot summer day. blue is one of three primary colors and represents both the sky and the sea. it’s been said that blue symbolizes loyalty, trust, strength, and wisdom. which might explain why blue is popular with large companies, especially hospitals and airlines that incorporate blue into their logos. dark blue is thought to be a masculine color and is the preferred color of corporate America as it is associated with expertise and stability. blue is also linked to consciousness and intellect. tech companies use blue to promote precision. although food companies avoid using blue altogether as it suppresses appetites.
but back to our regularly scheduled program – today’s ootd. this cute pair of blue cropped pants in a railroad stripe from Ann Taylor is a fantastic alternative to denim that helps keep me cool and casual. a ruffled denim jacket is back in action. this time popped over a knit racerback sweater similar here. denim slides similar here are the perfect pair of sandals to polish off this ootd. can you believe i purchased these Vince Camuto sandals in early spring? for the life of me i can’t figure out why this is the first time i’ve worn them? why did it take me so long ‘cuz they are cute, cute, cute with the addition of gleaming crystals and fringe.

The sandals are great with this. And there’s the cute ruffled jacket again, in a whole new look.
