Happy Thursday! Today I am featuring another faux leather skirt. This Petite Faux Leather Pleated Midi Skirt is from Ann Taylor. I am really loving Ann Taylor’s fall offerings, which we will feature soon, so stay tuned for that! A Monochromatic Fall Outfit is an easy go-to when you’re stumped on what to put together for an outfit, no matter if it’s a simple, casual ootd, or something a little dressier for an evening out. Throw in a pop of color or pattern, like a leopard print belt to make a fun and easy-to-wear statement.

Much like last week’s outfit, today I am playing with texture, faux leather with the shine of a silk-like top from Banana Republic Factory. This is a fun way to create a monochromatic outfit because it adds visual interest. Going a step further, I have a calf hair leopard print belt from J.Crew – it breaks up the monochromatic look with an unexpected neutral print.
Gold accessories highlight the shine of my outfit with their neutral gold tones. This particular Frances Valentine bag is sold out, but they have another style available with the Pooch Croc Embossed Shoulder Bag, or you can try the Iron Hobo Tumbled Leather Bag. The price tag may be high, but I have a few Frances Valentine bags and they are beautifully made to last a lifetime.
The shoes are old but there are many similar block heel options to choose from this fall. If you don’t already have at least one pair of gold heels in your closet, I highly recommend you add a pair, they are (and have been!) my main go-to heels for outfits all year long – they are simply one of the hardest working pair of heels in my closet.

Kelly, as we would say in the day…”you look really sharp”.
Thank you so much, Judy! xo Kelly
Lovely and elegant. Thank you for your petite post because as a petite (5’2.5″), I take note. And I agree about gold shoes. They are pretty much year-round accessories.
Thank you for stopping by today, Carolina Girl. It’s so worth it to have a few different styles of metallic shoes – they really get their money’s worth! xo Kelly
Very attractive, Kelly. Love the look.
Thanks so much, Linda! xo Kelly
Love the look , Kelly , with the leopard print belt breaking up the monochromatic look a bit. I can actually put together a few new outfits now that you styled this classy tip. Thank you!
So glad you got some inspiration, Nancy! Thanks so much for stopping by today, xo Kelly
