Happy Thursday! Summer means a lot of great outdoor events and gatherings. One of my favorite summertime activities is attending an outdoor concert or performance. Summertime concerts or performances come in a variety of forms. There are small town-type concerts, maybe around a gazebo in your town center. Of course, there are huge, music festivals (though I think my days of trudging through throngs of people, from stage to stage are over). Then there’s my favorite type of outdoor performance – a play or musical. Whether it’s a Shakespeare in the Park type of performance or a Broadway show performed at an outdoor amphitheater, I love to see an outdoor performance! So today, I am sharing a perfect outdoor concert outfit.

Sometimes you come across a summer dress that is perfect for so many events, that all you need to do is swap out shoes, accessories and maybe a third layer, depending on the event.
This Sleeveless Jacquard Dress from J.Crew is not sold in petites, but the only difference I notice is that the length falls just above my knee, which suits me fine.

The back of this dress has a cut-out, which is a daring, new-to-me style. I quite like it, it’s pretty subtle and it doesn’t interfere with my undergarments.
