Let’s kick off this week with a Perfect Work Outfit. It’s a busy week as we gear up for the grandaddy football game of them all – Super Bowl LVIII. It’s gonna be a great match-up between the 49ers and Chiefs! There’s always lots of fanfare leading up to the big day, and we all love to watch the commercials that brands pay exorbitant prices for and decide if they live up to the hype. Of course, there will be discussions about Taylor Swift and whether she will or will not make the game since she’s in Japan the day before continuing her Era’s concert schedule. My money is on Taylor, and I think it’s sweet how she supports her current beau, Travis. It’s also hilarious to listen to all of the conspiracy theories surrounding their romance or whether Taylor has helped or hindered watching NFL games. I’ve even had women unfollow me on social media because I mentioned Taylor Swift. Honestly, I don’t have to agree with someone 100% of the time to admire their outfit, lipstick, or music. As a matter of fact, there hasn’t been one person in my life that I’ve agreed with 100% of the time. Not even my late husband, Mr. Style. Maybe one day, we can return to an era where we could agree to disagree.
But I might have to cheer for both teams this year, as I am so impressed with Brock Purdy, the 49ers’ quarterback! This young man is twenty-four years old yet acts like a veteran. For a bit of backstory, Brock was the 262 draft pick in 2022, which earned him the title – Mr. Irrelevant. Can you imagine having that title when you arrived at training camp? As fate would have it, this young man stepped onto the field after not one but two quarterbacks suffered injuries. Not to worry, as Mr. Irrelevant is anything but that and led the 49ers to the NFC championship in 2023 before he was injured. This year, he will step into Super Bowl XLVIII as the youngest quarterback – ever to play. Pretty impressive!

Today, I chose a simple black-and-white color combo and added a long sleeve black rib tee that’s a wardrobe staple and suede knee-high boots (limited sizes similar here and here). I added a leather moto jacket (similar here and here) to give the outfit a little edge. This is the yin and yang of fashion. Feminine + Masculine. It’s a style formula that works.
