Happy Cinco de Mayo! We have a special treat for you. Kelly whipped up Chorizo Street Tacos that are not only easy to make but oh so good. In America I think it’s safe to say that we love to load our tacos with all of the fixings. But truth be told all you need is a few ingredients to take a taco from ordinary to extraordinary! Instead of throwing together a margarita to celebrate Cinco de Mayo we were inspired to craft a Tequila Spritz that’s even better than the typical fanfare. At least, I think it is. Oscar is on board today, Kelly too as we usher in the merry month of May. So join us today as we share Casual Outfits for Cinco de Mayo!

Casual Outfits for Cinco de Mayo
1. High Rise Chinos
(Banana Republic Factory)
Banana Republic has been a favorite brand of mine since the 90s even though they have had a few ups and maybe more downs than we’d like. In recent years they’ve gotten their groove back and I find myself perusing their site more times than not. The Banana Republic Factory Store is also a great place to shop as many of their items are a style repeat from BR a year or two before. And the price point can’t be beat!
Today, I kept it simple with an outfit rooted in neutrals that starts with a comfy pair of chinos from Banana Republic Factory. Add a crewneck long sleeve sweater in lightweight cotton and I’m ready to kick off Friday in style.

2. Collared Knit Dress
(Banana Republic Factory)
T-shirt dresses are one of the most casual, easy going pieces that’s perfect for a laid back summer vibe. Can you believe Memorial Day and the unofficial kick off for summer is within sight? Yikes!
Today, Kelly is wearing a cute t-shirt dress from Banana Republic Factory. As a matter of fact, I have the same dress in navy that I purchased last year from BR. One thing I love about t-shirt dresses is that they never go out of style which is why they’re on my summer wardrobe classics list year after year! Throw on a t-shirt dress with comfy sandals like Kelly and you’re set for the weekend.

In my opinion, a t-shirt dress looks best when you capitalize on how casual they are by throwing on a pair of sneakers and a baseball cap! It really is the most perfect Saturday combo and looks so cute and effortless.
One thing you should pay attention to when wearing a t-shirt dress is your lingerie. This is due to the fabric being light and airy. I like to have full coverage and reach for a pair of boyshorts or Ahh-lleuha Fit to You Every Day Shorts from Spanx. Both are soft, smooth, and comfy, and help prevent chafing.
Oscar, Kelly, and I wish you a lovely weekend!

3. Setting the Cinco de Mayo Table
It doesn’t take much to set a vibrant table for Cinco de Mayo. A few colorful touches are all you need to create a festive table. Think bright yellows, oranges, reds, pinks, and shades of blue. Add Mexican Cantina-style glassware and you’re set!

You both look awesome … and love seeing Oscar!
Delicious Cinco de Mayo tacos and drinks — what time does the party start? 🙂 It’ll take me about 6 hrs. to get there!
Hello. Beth, your outfit is perfectly casual and the necklace, casually sweet with the class you always exhibit. Kelly, taking a page out of Beth’s book on shirt dresses, a belt of some kind to cinch in at the waste might have created a more structured, but still sufficiently casual, look. But otherwise, both of you look great.
Hello, Happy Cinco de Mayo to both of you and Oscar. You both look wonderful. Love that sweater from BRF. Your table is so inspiring. Pats to Oscar! I think he needs an assortment of bow ties! Have a blessed day.
Love your and Kelly’s outfits and that drink recipe sounds so refreshing! I’m going to try today for Cinco de Mayo!

A lovely casual outfit.
Very nice cool and casual outfits! Beth, your neutral outfit matches Oscars “outfit!” Lol. Same neutral colors.
The drink recipe sounds super simple and delicious. We’re having plain old ground beef tacos, but I think I may add this drink! Happy Friday!
