it’s been said ‘the devil is in the details’ and i quite agree. a well-placed accessory can elevate even the simplest of outfits. today, i’ve donned one of my tried-and-true style uniforms: blazer, button-up, and blue jeans. a pair of prepilicious smoking slippers were just the ticket to perk up this ootd. notice the red collar on the embroidered scotty dogs. this specific detail influenced my handbag choice. now, with the addition of just two tiny details, this plain jane outfit gets a little extra zing. relaxed, casual style is as easy as one, two, three.
happy hump day!

The red is definitely the ticket–love it.
and it’s a backpack so perfect for those days i want to be ‘hands free.’

Oh yes, red is perfect for the outfit…love the shoes… xoxo
aren’t these shoes adorable, donna? they replicate the famous preppy shoe stubbs and wooten at a fraction of the cost. one of these days i’m going to pull the trigger and own a pair of stubbs and wooten. but the midwest girl in me always gets in the way. sometimes i’m too practical for my own good.
