keep it shorts
shorts and summer go together like surf and sand. once those temps heat up, there’s nothing quite like a pair of stylish shorts to help cool down. and with so many lengths available how short is up to you. typically, the shorter i go the flatter my shoe. and i tend to keep other body parts covered.
today’s ootd is all about these classic yet comfy drawstring utility shorts from Vince that are going, going, almost gone at Neiman Marcus. luckily, i found the same shorts over at Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th. i love the casual, understated tone these shorts exude. a favorite summer look of mine is safari chic that’s instantly created when these shorts are paired with a utility shirt from Ralph Lauren (similar here) in British Khaki.

a white lightweight tank is layered underneath the shirt. a gold statement necklace (similar here) and tortoise shell bracelet (similar here) add a classic touch. since we’re on the subject of classics, there’s no better handbag shape than a classic satchel handbag (similar here).
