last winter i shared a series titled ‘back to basics.’ if you missed it you can begin to read it here. it’s all about building your wardrobe on key pieces or ‘the basics.’ you know, the glamorous stuff like white tees and grey tanks that transition from one season to the next. if you have these core essentials on hand, you will never find yourself stumped as to ‘what to wear’ whether it’s pants with a bold print or the latest trend you just had to have. trust me.
while this sequined tunic is far from a style challenge (it’s white after all…), i reached for a ‘basic’ nonetheless. cargo pants or a variation is a basic in my book. it goes with everything. and i do mean everything. take a look at today’s ootd. white linen tunic paired with green linen pants similar here. perfect summer combo. now that summer decided to stay awhile linen becomes a go-to fabric for me. yes, it wrinkles (that’s its charm) but if you want to stay cool and fresh in hot weather linen will never let you down. and it’s a natural fabric which i prefer over synthetic.
similar pants | c/o tunic | sandals | handbag | necklace | lip shade Ultradior
snazzy gold sandals, gold bangles similar here, and gold necklace reinforce the silver and gold sequins found on the tunic. since pastels are all the rage this summer a pale pink handbag was a no-brainer.
happy thursday, gang!

Chic summer look. That bag is great! You look ready to head out to the islands.
i love the pastel shade of pink! wish i were headed to the islands. nothing like the sound of the surf.
