there was an abundance of april showers last month. so come on may flowers. are you ready? not only are the geraniums in bloom but bbq season is upon us. and there’s nothing like cranking up the grill and inviting a few friends over for a relaxing evening. who loves dining al fresco as much as moi? love those summer nights when the living is easy. and while your neck of the woods still might be on the chilly side. georgia is gearing up for full-blown summer.
and today’s ootd can take the heat. a simple white tunic with gold bling partner perfectly with cropped white pants. but i didn’t forget a pop of color. gladiator sandals with pom poms will do the trick as well as this cute wristlet clutch. a pair of chandelier earrings add a little boho charm as do the gold and horn bangles. ok may, we can do this!
happy monday!
labels: pants Talbots; tunic Lilly Pulitzer (similar here and here); sandals Target; clutch Talbots (similar here and here)
Black and white are our favorite combos…all white is how we change seasons in Florida! Nice combo my dear.-Laurel Bledsoe
lol! gotta love how florida cues you into the season change. when we lived in houston come fall i changed my white shorts out for olive green…

This looks like such a comfortable outfit and I love the pops of color on the sandals and shoes. It is chilly here again so it’s necessary to wear 3 pieces. Fortunately, no storms like in the South.
i always get a kick out of these sandals, sharon. love the pom poms and charms they added for a pop of color.
stay warm!

Same here–it was 91 yesterday and I definitely put all my wintery stuff away–that’s a thing of the past here in NC. I pulled out a lot of nice spring/summer things I’d forgotten I even had, though, so I’ll have fun shopping in my closet. I have a linen top with colorful embroidery from Sundance that is actually pretty nice, and it reminds me of this top–I wear it as well with white cropped pants and it is so comfortable. It’s light and gauzy and pretty and just sings “summer.”
Glad you can relax and enjoy the warm weather. My son is up in Boston and he and my daughter-in-law just went up to their place in Maine this past weekend–it looked cold up there. So I’m reminding myself how lucky I am. (Another friend in Maine posted snow pix just the other day! )
i love these classic tunics, sue! every closet should have at least one hanging in it. yours sounds like a dream to wear when the summer temps roll into town.
last week, nyc was downright miserable with the rain, and cold. at least when it rains here i’m not freezing my fanny off!

Cute top! Love me some bling…ha! I have a white top similar to yours but more boho in flavor. It has been cool and very rainy here…over five inches in a few days… Enjoy your warm, sunny weather! xoxo
that’s a lot of rain donna! don’t float away… hopefully may will bring those flowers since you’ve had your share of april showers.

Easy breezy outfit – love the pops of color added via the sandals and clutch. Not being the neatest of people (although I try but tend to be a bit hyper and fast in my movements) I don’t wear much white!
lol! that’s why they invented Tide bleach pens. but seriously, there are some tips and tricks to keep your whites looking spiffy.
