the gray skies were swirling today with mild temps. but the raindrops held off. so what do you wear when the weather fluctuates? put a poncho on. it’s the perfect layering piece come spring. and, yes, spring is officially weeks away. but good golly, miss molly, we’ve had an odd winter this year. one day we’re bundled up in hats and gloves, the next we’re pulling on our galoshes and stashing an umbrella into our purse. coat? no coat? sweater? jacket? aye, ya, ya. i’m flying to new york city tomorrow. yesterday it was 61 today they’re predicting up to 12 inches of snow! spring weather? snowstorm? your guess is as good as mine. one thing’s for certain, i’m packing boots.
but back to your regularly scheduled program. today’s ootd is simple through and through. an italian cashmere turtleneck, faded blue jeans, poncho, and boots should see me through the day in style. while the poncho keeps the chill away it’s lightweight and a lovely alternative to a jacket. don’t you love the pastel blue that peeks out from underneath? there may be gray on all fronts today but this pop of blue brightened my day.

Love that color turtleneck–I looked for it but it’s gone in my size. Very pretty! Looks great. This winter has been so bizarre–definitely a good layering year. I’ve been doing lots of that. Hope the trip goes very well!
this shade of blue is hard to find. so when i spy it i try to scoop it up. the trip was so much fun, sue. mostly because i get to spend time with my son.
