yes, april and august can be tricky months. the temperatures begin to fluctuate, a little bit of rain is thrown in for good measure. and frankly, we begin to get weary of our winter/summer duds. it’s time for a change, yet, the weather isn’t quite letting us transition to the next season. let’s face it, it’s time to keep summer strong. at least we’ll keep the season alive one outfit at a time.
today, it’s all about this lilly pulitizer tunic i trotted out at the beginning of the summer. this one has bell sleeves and jazzy gold sequins. take a look at a similar one here and here. bermuda shorts were just the ticket for a hot summer day in georgia. this pair by j.crew is several years old similar ones here and here. but i love the metallic sheen that sets it apart from its cousin the navy blue chino short.
navy and white are a classic color combo that looks crisp and clean. notice how the gold undertones add a bit of glitz and glam. perfect for date night with mr. style. since i have my summer strong game on i added gold metallic sandals and navy blue wicker handbag that’s on sale. talbots always keep classic handbags on their roster. i just had a peek at their fall lineup – fabulous! can’t wait to share. but, ahem, back to today’s ootd. tassel and bead earrings are also going strong this summer. plus they’re so lightweight.
couldn’t resist sharing a few photos from the inside of the restaurant. these chandeliers are killer.
the entire restaurant has a cool vibe. isn’t this portrait of uga (uga is the mascot for the university – a white english bulldog) the best?! living in a college town has its charms that’s for certain.

Fabulous, darling! 😉 I am inspired by the fact that you have some keepers from years past. I think, as we mature, we have to keep the things we truly love, and usually (!) they end up being ‘keepers’ that stand the test of time…I do think it can be overwhelming to consider what to keep and what won’t hang in there…
Yes…I think I must have too many things, because I haven’t even worn all my summer things, and I’m already planning what travel clothes will feature in the fall lineup as I get ready to tear all over creation all fall. Our students are back in full force next week. And we’re off! Lovely late-summer look! Enjoy it while it lasts!
You look happy and relaxed in your casual glam. The restaurant has the casual glam look, too.
Love this look, and ordered one of the blouses from your provided link! Thanks! And those chandeliers though… ????????
