happy thursday gang! can you believe october is knocking on our door? monday morning to be exact. summer has officially ended fall is in full swing and the holidays aren’t far behind. i’m still wrapping my head around suede and sweaters but before you know it sequins and velvet will be seen everywhere. honestly, where does the time go? today, we’re going to slow down and take a moment to look back at the content i created for september before its going, going, gone. in case you were on vacay or taking a hiatus from the internet here’s a peek at what you might have missed.
there was lots of discussion and comments on facebook and instagram about these distressed jeans. many of you loved them but just as many hated them. i always get a kick when fashion brings out the opinions! but this post kicked off an online book club called book club with style. this is a closed group on facebook that will be hosted each month by a published author! yes, there are two lovely, brilliant, and accomplished authors that will join me with this new venture to share their love of reading and writing. kick off is slated for october 8th.
mr. style and i spent a long weekend in florida. i shared my packing itinerary in the post what to pack for florida. catchy title, huh? the outfits ranged from beach attire to champagne brunch and a shopping spree.
all month long i’ve partnered with Talbots as their Fall Classics Guest Editor. it’s been a big hit with you and i’ve loved every minute of this gig! the series kicked off with this post and a ponte blazer.
one outfit that resonated with you this month was this retro silk button-down paired with white chinos. it was featured in the post what i wore in florida.
recipes and cocktails is a big hit week after week. and of course, you catch a glimpse of oscar and ollie on fridays. many of you wrote that you absolutely loved the avocado salmon rice bowl and the refreshing cocktail intro to aperol.
the series back to basics was reposted by popular demand. the four-part series recaps ‘back to basics’ where we discussed the core pieces needed to build a classic wardrobe.
southcott threads is a new brand that makes a variety of comfortable tees, dresses, and loungewear made from bamboo cotton. i put southcott to the test with the perfect white tee. they came through with flying colors.
this blue ponte sheath dress resonated with you. this post was part of the series Talbots Fall Classics. but the striped shoes and paisely scarf were big hits too.
leopard is hot and hotter this fall. and it seems as if you love this animal print. it was a toss-up between this leopard sweatshirt seen in neutral zone.
or this leopard silk button up that was featured on rainy days and mondays. it’s hard to decide which one is my favorite. they’re both so different even though they’re both leopard. now that we covered the top ten posts it’s onto the top ten items you shopped in september.
