bundle up your overcoat when the wind is free… or what i wore on a blustery day. yes, old man winter decided to pay a visit this past week. and while the south doesn’t have to deal with mounds of snow or slush, we do get our fair share of chilly temps and windy days. that’s when it’s time to bundle up with a few layers and throw on a pair of boots. ‘cuz baby it’s not only cold but blustery.
many of you had questions about this mixed stitch coatigan last seen here. is it black or is it blue? sometimes it’s hard to tell. am i right? this subject was broached on a recent blog post as the differences between these two colors can be quite subtle. but to answer your question, the coatigan is black and gray. a navy scarf (similar here and here) was added to highlight the difference (love a black and blue color combo) along with skinny black jeans, cashmere waffle turtleneck, and black slouchy boots (similar here and here).

the boots are Via Spiga the black is sold out but white is still available. yes, white boots are perfectly acceptable all winter long. slouchy boots look terrific with midi skirts and skinny jeans alike. block heels can’t be beaten for comfort.
