what to wear when the seasons change | denim jacket
happy monday, gang! the weekend disappeared in a nano-second. but here we are ready to start a new week. spring is trying its very best to stick around my neck of the woods. temps have been quite mild the past few days with the sun making brief appearances now and then. the trees are a bit confused though. should they bud? is it going to get cold again? typically, the south can count on a vibrant display of blooms come spring. this year i’m not so sure what the outcome will be. fingers crossed because if you haven’t experienced spring in the south, you ain’t seen nothin’.
since the temps were cooperating and there were no raindrops to dodge, i assembled a very classic, very basic spring-like ootd. bright, bold pants (old, similar here and here), a graphic tee (old, similar here and here), and jean jacket (old, similar here and here). jean jackets are the perfect third layer this time of year. pop it on when the temps are cool in the morning. then if the weather decides to heat up simply remove it.
striped shoes (old, similar here and here) were added for a subtle pattern mix.
a little bling (old, similar here and here) was added for good measure even though the graphic tee could easily fly solo.
