white lights
since moving to georgia, i’ve had a ball wearing dresses. there’s nothing like slipping into a linen or cotton sundress on a hot summer day, especially when you’re smack dab in the middle of the dog days of summer! this fun little number from J.Crew is a dream to wear, and i love the grommet details found on the neckline. who remembers that the devil is in the details? well, this dress is a prime example. add a pair of gingham espadrilles to the mix and the cuteness ante has upped. many of you write in claiming your high heel days are behind you. if that is the case, may i suggest a pair of wedges? they come in all styles for all seasons, are easy on the foot with oodles of support, and add height. since my ootd is streamlined chic, i’ve added a pair of blingy earrings for a bit of oomph and decided to stack a few bracelets. now, i’m ready to tackle tuesday whatever it may bring. make it a good one!

I have actually been eye-ing this dress, trying to decide if I’d like it. Did you find the creamy white to run large? I read reviews to that effect and was debating what size I might like. I go nuts with J Crew on that issue–their sizing is all over the place. Even with a phone call, I’m still maybe going to order 2 and have to return one! From comments, the olive green is more true to size.
you can size down. i typically size up in a dress due to the right fit around my bust… however, i stayed with an 8 in this dress, but could have sized down. since it was a loose fit any which way you look at it i kept the 8! this is the perfect summer dress – linen is heaven in the heat.
