well, the thunderstorms rolled through athens with a vengeance last night. trees were toppled, power lines down, and yours truly was smack dab in the middle of a photo shoot! never a dull moment weather-wise. so junior style and i headed back out early this morning for a re-do. the sun is shining as i type. so it looks as if the severe weather has passed by for the time being.
today, the outfit centered on a classic black blazer. but it has a twist. long, boyfriend style blazers are making a comeback this year, and you’ll see this style everywhere this fall. i happen to love the longer length of this classic black blazer from Lafayette 148. many of you know i am a big fan of this brand with its U.S.A. headquarters located in NYC. but if you are wanting a classic black blazer without the price tag associated with Lafayette 148, i’ve linked up a few options. fashion has many price points, so there’s no need to sacrifice your pocketbook.
a classic black blazer looks fantastic paired with pinstripe pants (old, similar here and here). for a more relaxed look tuck a lace camisole (old, similar here and here) underneath this classic black blazer and add a scarf. voila. what could have been a stuffy outfit is now sophisticated chic. perfect for date night. i know mr. style would have approved.
these sandals are from Ann Taylor with limited sizes available. but take a peek at a few more options that just might suit your fancy.
this polka dot scarf (old, similar here, here, and here) is a 36-inch silk scarf folded into a triangle then folded into a rectangle. the polka dots are a subtle contrast to the pinstripe pants. remember, silk scarves are an investment accessory that will last a lifetime. Gucci, Hermès, or Chanel always have modern and classic prints available. if you don’t mind shopping second-hand stores The Real Real is an online luxury consignment store that has an amazing assortment of clothes and accessories.

Your outfit took the basic blazer here a long way! Very chic look! – Those storms rumlbed through my neck of the woods all evening too! At least we’ll end up with a little cool down 😊.
The fashion flash video and soundtrack are super!
Flattering! Love the pinstriped pants with contrasting belt.
You look fantastic. Love the look. Hope you are doing well. Think about you all the time.Marcia
Love the camisole with scarf look, I love my scarves, you’re right, they do finish off an outfit. I would never have thought about a cami top with blazer, a great idea!
