Denim and Tweed: a Perfect Match

Good morning, ladies. Today’s post is short and sweet as I’m off to the oral surgeon this morning for a tooth implant. It’s been a long road to arrive at this point. I broke my tooth last summer and then had to wait three months to get into the oral surgeon. Yep, three months! Towards the end, they had to slap me on antibiotics for several weeks as I started to have skin rashes directly related to my broken tooth and bacteria, and blah, blah, blah. Thank goodness the day finally arrived for my tooth to be extracted. Guess what? The skin rash cleared up immediately. For the past six months, the bone has been healing, which leads me to today and my dental surgery – the long-awaited implant. I’ll let you know how things go, but it should be easy peasy; then all that’s left will be a crown on the implant. When all is said and done, it will be close to a year…Today I am sharing one of my favorite outfit combinations: Denim and Tweed.

Anyhoo, today’s ootd is one of my favorite style formulas – jeans + sweater + blazer. Anyone else feel the need for tweed? This is the one blazer I always have on hand in my closet although this particular one is more of a tweed sweater blazer (old, similar here, here, and here).

I popped my tweed jacket over a wardrobe staple a sleeveless mock turtleneck then added a pair of boot-cut jeans from Ann Taylor for that casual chic look.
