Happy Thursday, Ladies! This weekend, I am headed to a wedding that I have been looking forward to for a long while now. The wedding has become a little bit of a Style at a Certain Age (SAACA) family affair. The bride, Annelise, is a dear friend who happens to run Beth’s Poshmark Shop. A Romantic Floral Print Wedding Guest Dress

Last summer, I featured this same dress style in a different pattern and colorway as a summer wedding guest dress. Today I wanted to show how a dress like the Somerset Maxi Dress, in a colorway and pattern that works for fall too, can easily be topped with a blazer to take you into cooler temperatures. 

What I really like about this Going Out Blazer in Stretch Twill is that it’s fitted and has a stretch to it, so you can wear it through dinner without it feeling too cumbersome. I am wearing a petite size 0.

Somerset Maxi Dress | Heather Ankle Strap Sandal | Similar Beaded Monogram Clutch | Going Out Blazer in Stretch Twill

I had originally wanted this version, with the patchwork rose patterns, when I featured the green version last summer, so when this rose print came back in stock, I exchanged one for the other. Now, this rose version is only available in limited sizes, but there is a new version that is perfect for fall and winter. The Black Motif version looks like a watercolor painting with metallic silver threads running through it. A very elegant motif, the pattern features a variety of colors that all go beautifully with neutral jackets and accessories you might already have. 

I am wearing a petite size xs in this Somerset Maxi Dress. I think it fits true to size. The smocked waist adds definition but doesn’t sacrifice comfort. It’s a pull-over style with buttons at the halter neck in the back.

I kept my accessories a soft metallic gold. The Heather Ankle Strap Sandal is a fun way to carry the flower motif through my ensemble. The leather rose adds a fun and special element to the shoe.

Though it’s not an exact match by any stretch, for such a festive occasion, I broke out my monogram beaded floral clutch. This bag was from Anthropologie, last year, so sadly this is not available. But every year Anthro features a new set of beaded clutches that are worth snapping up for yourself, or they make great gifts. I have two, one with a D and one with a K. Each of mine has a different design, and they feel like fun statement pieces that are perfect for special occasions. 

And even though the bag is not an exact match to my outfit, its beaded flowers feature the same colors in my dress, with pops of blues, greens, red, and pearly pinks.
