it’s october, gang, which means one thing: football season is in full swing. if you live in the south as we do, then you know SEC football is all that, and more. and that’s saying something from this nebraska girl who grew up during the cornhusker hey-day of bob devaney and tom osborne. there was one national championship after another, and we could always count on squaring off against the oklahoma sooners thanksgiving weekend when you were guaranteed to freeze your fanny if you went to the game! but if we decided to forego the cold and watch the game on television, there were always snacks to munch on to get you through those nail-biting moments when you weren’t sure if your team was going to pull another rabbit out of the hat. oh my, but emotions do run high at football games.
today, i’m sharing a few breakfast tailgating recipes that you can whip up to serve at home or take to a tailgating party. but first, i have to give a shoutout to this adorable georgia bulldogs tee shirt from gameday couture. this company was started in 2010 with the style-conscious sports enthusiast in mind. ‘cuz when you root for your team you need to show your school pride, right?! gameday couture quickly gained a following, and in 2014 they appeared on shark tank where they formed a partnership with mark cuban. impressive! gameday couture has products from casual to dressy and can best be described as classic traditional with a contemporary twist. the tee i’m wearing is called squad goals, but there are so many options to choose from. shop by team or everyday fashion. either way, their gameday gear is adorable!
oscar isn’t certain he wants to be a bulldog fan. he still remembers when i dressed him in a georgia bulldog tee shirt.
this is an easy recipe that’s delish – pancake sausage muffins that you dip into syrup when you’re ready to eat.
you can make these egg mcmuffins ahead of time and heat when you’re ready to serve your guests. i substituted sausage patties with meatless patties from trader joe’s
if you haven’t had a poptail yet, let me introduce you to this frozen cocktail on a stick. it’s the latest craze that’s easy to make and delicious to eat and great to serve at parties. we whipped up mimosas for our tailgating party. the poptail manual and the mod pops mould are from crate and barrel. you can buy them as a set or individually.
for brunch, we set up a bloody mary bar and let guests make their own.
yogurt, granola, fruit cups are added to the menu.
all right, gang, it’s time to cheer our georgia bulldogs on to victory. the 5-0 dawgs face off against vanderbilt this week.
it’s friday! which means it’s time for oscar and i to wish each of you a lovely weekend.

oscar is a keeper that’s for shirt! thanks so much for stopping by. xo
I love the Bulldogs, second only to Cal Golden Bears! Your tee is adorable, but i’m wondering about its length. I’m 5′ and fear it would be a little long even in a small. Whatcha think?
hi cyndi, the tee hit mid-thigh for me and i am close to 5’8″ this might look cute with leggings and wear it as a dress over leggings. just a thought. xo
I wear a lot of leggings – so that would work – thanks!
Go, Oscar! How ’bout dem Dawgs?! (Actually a Gamecock, but doglover, so….)
i think those dawgs are going back to the championship this year! go gamecocks! but go dawgs, go! xo
As always you know how to enjoy some fun activities with Oscar in tow. Have a great weekend Beth!
hi rebecca! i’m headed to your neck of the woods next week. it’s always a great day when you can share the day with family & friends and a few good snacks! xo

gameday couture is a gamechanger when it comes to cute gameday gear! xo
Crate & Barrel always has good things–we made poptails a few times when we went to the local art museum for concerts and movies on the lawn a few times. We didn’t know that was what they were called, though! đ They also sold a small, wooden, roll-up table and a bag to carry it in–it’s like a little coffee table. I keep it in the trunk of my car ’cause you never know when you might want to set up an impromptu picnic!
Cute top, and it is definitely the season. Have fun!
