Happy Thursday, Ladies! This year might be my year for dresses, it seems every other day I come across an adorable dress I want to add to my collection. This might also have to do with the fact that I have been to two weddings in the past several months and I have another one coming up this fall. So wedding guest dress shopping has been at the top of my internet search list. Today’s dress though, is more casual, perfect for a lunch out with friends or family. But one thing’s for sure, I am in the swing of spring with a spring dress!

I am not sure if there is any other piece of clothing more comfortable than a trapeze or swing-style dress. Especially in the summer. So easy, so breezy! I featured this same dress style last summer and it seems to be on trend again this year as I see more and more at my favorite brands and retailers. It’s a beautiful style for women of all sizes and shapes.

First and foremost, I fell in love with the color palette of this Swing Mini Dress from Anthropologie. Then, the fact that it was striped really sealed the deal for me. Like Beth, I have never met a stripe I didn’t like! I love the mix of pinks, yellow, orange, and green with white and taupe.
The dress is 100% cotton so it’s crisp and cool. It has pockets, which is always a winning feature!! I am wearing a petite size XS. it fits true to size. The Swing Mini Dress also comes in Navy and in White; and it’s available in Regular and Plus sizes.

Another fun and chic way to style a mini dress of this style would be to wear it as a tunic, over slim-fitting cropped pants, for a very Palm Royale look.
Whenever I am styling something of a shorter length, whether a skirt, dress, or shorts, I always go with a flat shoe. And since this dress feels casual and fun, metallic fisherman sandals feel just right; they’re casual and comfortable and the metallic finish makes them easy to match with a multicolored dress.

These Sandals are from last year and have a lug sole, the version from J.Crew for this year is nearly sold out, but I think they will restock. But if you can’t wait for that, I found these super cute Metallic Fisherman Mules from Sam Edelman – a brand I absolutely love and trust.

I have my Hannah Wicker Lunchbox which I think goes perfectly with a swingy spring dress! This “Toast” color is out of stock, for now. But this year Frances Valentine offers it in three other colors: Navy, Pink and Green. While this bag is on the pricey side, it’s a great investment. I have had mine since last year and I used it a lot last summer, it’s already been my go-to wicker bag this year, too. It’s very sturdy and well-made.
