Green is one of my favorite colors due to its soothing and relaxing vibe. Green is the color of nature and represents growth, harmony, fertility, and freshness. It often gives us a sense of optimism and security. However, there are negative connotations associated with green, like green around the gills when you’re sick or green with envy to denote jealousy. Superhero villains have also been associated with green: Poison Ivy, Joker, The Green Goblin, and The Riddler, to name a few. But I’m immediately filled with a sense of calm and balance when I look at green. And there’s nothing better than walking barefoot across my green lawn come spring and summer.

nnWhile glacial blue, lilac, and butter yellow are trending this spring, I’ve noticed retailers offering various greens this year. If you love soft green, look at this smocked neck top. One of my favorite pants from J.Crew is the Astrid Pant, which is available in utility gree, and the sailor slim wide-leg pants in fatigue have been on style repeat all season long. Green and camel is a sophisticated color combo. Love this relaxed pullover sweater paired with Everlane’s best-selling way-high drape pants or high-rise linen short.

A utility jacket in olive always makes my top ten spring jacket list and looks beautiful with a striped tee and white denim. A linen tee is worth its weight in gold. And a pair of olive green pants goes with everything, and I’m a big fan of green chinos for a weekend look. Lavender and green are beautiful color combinations, as are pink and green. This lavender striped button-up is versatile, and I love the print of this oversized shirt or lavender kimono, which also goes with green.
If you prefer a brighter green, consider this lime green top in airy gauze or this satin button-front top and matching pants, which I LOVE to wear. I recently purchased these Isle Fronds shorts in blues and greens and am debating whether to buy the matching shirt.

Last week, I wore this embroidered blouse and green jacket on a live Instagram and received many compliments. The jacket is cropped, which is on trend this year. Instead of white, I chose ivory pants that go well with the predominant shade of ivory in the blouse. They look fantastic, and neutral suede sandals add texture to the outfit. How cute is this canvas handbag?!
