Happy 4th of July! Didn’t I tell you there’s lots of red, white, and blue seen everywhere this time of year?! Even though I love to wear a simple outfit built on neutrals, or another outfit that’s classy, chic and elegant there’s always room in my heart and wardrobe for an outfit that’s nothing more than whimsical. There’s no better day than the 4th to pull out all the stops and not only dress in red, white and blue but add a whimsical flag tee to the mix. It’s the perfect pick on a hot summer day filled with bbq’s and fireworks. I added a pair of white linen shorts that are also the perfect choice for temps in the 90s with humidity to match! This time of year, Georgia gets steamy, especially of thunderstorms are in the forecast.
Speaking of thunderstorms the annual 4th of July festivities at the Georgia Club were rained out for the second year in a row… and I do mean rain as it absolutely rained cats and dogs a mere forty-five minutes after we set up shop with our new stars and stripes lawn chairs. I was able to snap a few photos before the skies opened up as we made a beeline indoors to wait the storm out. Unfortunately, Mother Nature won this round, the fireworks were called off, and we had to pack up our gear and head home.
Happy 4th, ladies! I hope you enjoy the day with friends and family and fireworks!

Oscar looks so chill. Love seeing him. Happy Fourth!
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY, Beth!! Once the 4th has come and gone I always feel that summer is now on the downward slope. I’m sure there are more warm days ahead, but before I know it it’ll be time to be thinking ahead to the crisp fall days once again. Anyway, enjoy your day with family and friends.
Happy Independence Day, Beth!! That tee is adorable. What size are you wearing? I want to make sure I order the correct size. Thank you!
Celebrating America’s Birthday with you, Beth! This dyed-in-the-wool patriot’s heart is ready to pop with gratitude. Your pictures speak to the heart of why. Rained out or not, the sight of red, white, and blue stirs such pride in our perfectly imperfect nation. Your OOTD speaks to that pride without saying a word! Great post, made more so by Oscar’s cameo appearance! Wonderful surprise! Love from equally steamy Texas! ❤🤍💙
It’s so nice to see your family! Boo boo rain. Happy Fourth!
So sorry about the festivities getting rained out. Must have been very disappointing, especially for the organizers who put a lot of effort in it.
Happy July 4th! To Oscar too!
LOVE your outfit. So patriotic and happy. All you’re missing is a sparkler ablaze in your hand! God Bless America.
