Spring fashion is all about effortless style, and nothing says classic-meets-chic quite like gingham trousers. Whether you’re heading to brunch, a weekend getaway, or a casual day out, gingham pants add a timeless yet playful touch to your wardrobe. Today, we’re highlighting the Sézane Martin Crop Trousers and how to style them for a polished spring look.
Gingham Trousers
The Gingham Trousers You Need
The Martin Crop Trousers from Sézane feature a vintage-inspired gingham print, a flattering high-waist silhouette, and a cropped leg that makes them perfect for petites and taller figures alike. Their tailored fit offers endless versatility, making them a standout piece for your spring wardrobe.
I am showing these gingham trousers (which are not sold in petite sizes) unaltered. Because they are meant to be cropped, they hit my ankles. This is an excellent fashion trick we petites can use to wear regular-sized pants, skirts, dresses, and shorts. Minis and shorter hem shorts hit us a bit lower on the leg, and cropped pants will most often hit us right at our ankles, for a longer leg fit. If brown gingham isn’t for you, the Martin Crop Trousers come in golden yellow and black gingham.
The Martin Crop Trousers are a cotton-linen blend. The fabric is on the thicker side, so they are great for early spring days. These trousers are not lined, but the fabric is soft and very comfortable. The Martin Crop Trousers feature welt pockets on the sides and in the back, which are basted closed for a more streamlined look. But if you’re like me, you want to carefully take those stitches out so you can use your pockets!
