Yesterday, I shared a double-faced blazer with blue on the inside and black on the outside. Today, it’s all about plaid. Why do I love to wear blazers, especially this time of year? Here are a few reasons why:
Blazers can be dressed up or down.
Blazers can go to the office with ease but then can transition to the weekend. Next time you wear a pair of denim and button up add a blazer and heels to elevate your look instantly.
When you invest in a quality blazer it will last for years.
Although silhouettes and details may subtly change, blazers will never go out of style. Invest in a classic cut and color in order to make the most of your purchase.
Blazers are very versatile.
A blazer gives you endless outfit possibilities and can be worn year-round. Like I said earlier, it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Plus, if you get a neutral color you can wear it with all of the pants, skirts, dresses and tops you already own. It’s an easy way to elevate your outfit.
They flatter every body type.
Whether you want a trim fit or slouchy boyfriend style, blazers come in a variety of cuts and shapes. A classic tailored blazer work on almost every figure because they have a structured shape. Depending on your height, you can play around with cropped or longline blazers to see which length looks best. There are so many choices!

Plaid Blazer
(J.Crew)
Today I chose a plaid blazer in muted neutrals that goes with everything. An ivory turtleneck keeps the outfit grounded in classic style and balances the faux leather pants. Add a pair of lug sole Chelsea boots for a modern twist. These boots are perfect when inclement weather steps in. All in all this is a modern and chic outfit that’s perfect for the weekend.

The Perfect Third Layer for Fall
Jcrew did a good job matching the plaids on this jacket! That shows its a well made garment! Bravo!!
J.Crew is a go-to brand of mine, especially for blazers.
The blazer-jacket looks very stylish on you. But price has to be a consideration for many of us, and it’s vastly overpriced for an unlined jacket. I can see why JC models it with a sweatshirt underneath. I love the blazer you showed yesterday.
