Every so often, a new brand will pop up on my radar screen, and I love to test it out and then share my thoughts with you. Today, our New Brand Focus Massimo Dutti. This brand features classic silhouettes with a modern edge. Similar to J.Crew in pricepoint and Banana Republic in terms of neutral and earth tone color palettes, Massimo Dutti puts sustainability at the forefront of its practices. Let’s explore this brand together with my first impressions, outfit inspiration, and some noteworthy finds.

Here are my first impressions. Ordering is easy and shipping is fast! Love that, especially when many brands place your shipment on the slow train, and it can take up to two weeks for delivery. I chose five pieces and put them to the test. A mock turtleneck sleeveless sweater, matching pants, sleeveless midi dress, and two contrast t-shirts (one in black and one in cream).
I’m a fan of natural fabrics, especially when it comes to classic style, so the fabric for the sweater that’s 90% organic cotton was a plus for me. And I loved the fit. I’m wearing my usual size medium. The waxed kick flare trousers fit like a glove (I’m wearing a size 8) and are made from 98% cotton. The center seam gives a flattering fit, and the pants can be washed on a gentle cycle or sent to the dry cleaner. That’s a win/win!
The midi dress is made from a combination of polyester 70%, viscose 24%, elastane 6% and comes in S,M,L, and XL. I went with the medium and just squeezed into the dress. But I did like the cut of the dress; just wished it were sized with numbers rather than letters. I might exchange the dress for a L and have it tailored since a good dress is hard to come by, and this one would take me lots of places.
Last but not least are the contrast t-shirts that are made with 100% cotton and also fit like a dream. These tees will be summer wardrobe staples that will go with everything and ones I will reach for again and again.
All in all, I am already a big fan of Massimo Dutti. You’ll see this brand again, and most likely very soon, as I have my eye on a few more items!

Love this brand! Bought a linen dress in Spain this spring. Nice price point and lots of style
Online shopping can be challenging if a brand/Website does not provide measurements such as inseam length rise, and leg opening of their denim or other pant.
massimo dutti is a wonderful brand
I have shopped Massimo Dutti for over 20 years it is a great brand, with quality basics. Shoes and boots are great, also look at their studio line for more trendy fashion pieces.
Nice clothes! Too bad they don’t have petites.
I like Massimo Dutti, esp. basics like t-shirts are great… but POLYESTER dress? No-no
