The color red has made a strong impression for the past two years, coming in hot for fall, winter, spring and summer. The trend continues into fall 2024 and winter 2025 with pops of red. For all of you out there who love head-to-toe red, go for it! For those of you who shy away from bold colors, a pop of red is a perfect trend to try. A pop of red can come into your ensemble with an accessory, a top or a bottom, or in a print. If an orange-red or firetruck red is not for you, try a blue-red, like a berry or merlot-hued red.
Wearing a vest as a top, on its own, or as a second layer is a trend that is continuing strong into fall and winter. This trend is so versatile, it’s an easy way to elevate a casual outfit with its menswear-inspired look. You can wear it over a tee shirt and jeans for a chic casual look, you can wear it alone, under a blazer with wide-leg trousers for a suiting look that is very on trend for 2024.
Maximalist prints are trending this year, quite possibly it’s a reaction to the beige and neutrals of quiet luxury that has dominated for the last few years. Maximalist prints with nature-based themes are most prominent; bold colors are also making their way into collections across all of our favorite brands and retailers. This is nothing new, as summer saw bold, saturated colors and retro-inspired silhouettes dominating the fashion world. The maximalism trend in fashion does extend beyond prints and colors alone; abstract and exaggerated silhouettes along with layering pieces in a variety of textures, patterns and colors also falls into the maximalist category. For those maximalists out there, this is your year in fashion and in design, as the trend is also dominating the interior design world this fall and winter 2025.
In my opinion, many of the denim trends for 2024 are so flattering and wearable for people of all shapes and sizes. At the top of my list, wide-leg denim. From trouser styles, to flared styles, a widened leg opening is so perfect for fall and winter. Not only are these styles chic and sophisticated, but they look great with all different kinds of footwear, from boots to ballet flats. And don’t forget about denim dresses, skirts and tops!

Thanks for a great post. I ordered the Chico’s sweater blazer. I saw it in the store. They only had black and not my size. I ordered the red. So funny that the next day, I see you posting it.
Love Kelly’s maxi geometric dress.
Yay! I’m so glad you found your size online. And the red is so on trend this fall.
Thanks for stopping by!
One of my favorite colors! I love red. I just bought a vintage wool/silk skirt suit in red so love that you featured it here. Thanks for the reminder of Chico’s also … GOOD place to find clothes.
Red or Oxblood is BIG this fall! But I love it and plan on wearing it every chance I get.
