the countdown for spring is on! t minus two days sixteen hours and twenty-four minutes to be exact. have you noticed i’m more than ready to bask in the warm sunshine, listen to those birds chirp, and watch the flowers bloom? there’s something magical about this time of year when the earth renews itself once more. once spring arrives, there’s a bevy of special occasions to squeeze into our calendar. easter, mother’s day, graduations, showers, and weddings all vie for our attention. and demand a special frock or two.
when i was a young girl, every year like clockwork, my mother would set aside a special day to shop for our easter dresses. back then you could count on adding an easter bonnet into the mix and a pair of patent leather mary janes with white socks. it was a tradition i looked forward to and still do. which is why i always keep one eye out for a dress that catches my fancy.
