say hello to my must-have’s for fall. sweater – check. midi-skirt – check. and a coat, but not just any coat, a faux shearling coat that’s on trend and certain to keep me warm when those north winds come howling. presently, georgia is faced with partly cloudy skies and the low eighties. but my friends in minneapolis are looking at a high of 50, london is a chilly 58 degrees, and paris is flirting with the mid-fifties. ready or not cold weather will be here before we know it. and Marks & Spencer is keeping me warm in style with modern casual separates and fresh, playful prints.
Marks and Spencer have quite a lineup of sweaters, including a fabulous collection of cashmere. it’s always hard for me to say no to cashmere, but this month i couldn’t resist this textured sweater with a vibrant pattern that seamlessly combines casual chic with comfort. it will look fabulous with black denim or black pants. but today i chose a black midi-skirt. one thing is certain, the faux shearling jacket adds a little oomph to this classic outfit.
what are fall’s most covetable coats this year? besides faux shearling? checked coats are seen everywhere this year. a checked coat is the perfect layer when you’re heading to work or out the door for a casual weekend. that’s a win/win in my book. no one argues that a camel coat is classic and chic. it’s an elegant style that will take you all through the fall into winter. and every coat closet should include a puffer coat that will protect you from the elements. this puffer coat has a detachable hood and fleece lined pockets that will keep your hands snuggly warm.

I love everything about that jacket – asymmetrical zipper, reversed hem and fuzzy cuffs. A versatile coat to dress up or down. And it’s so affordable. I’d wear it a lot with denim.
