Today we have our Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dressing Room Diaries Part 2. Good news! This annual event is open to all shoppers. And there are still three weeks to shop. I love to bop into my local store to see what they have on hand, but to be truthful there are more choices online. A few tips when shopping online, as it can be overwhelming with the vast selection:
Shop by brand. I check the luxury brands first. Vince, Eileen Fisher, and Veronica Beard typically have an excellent inventory.
Shop by Category. Denim, lingerie, and shoes are always a good choice.
Shop Coats & Jackets. Barbour and Ralph Lauren offer some fantastic deals on outerwear.
Shop Beauty Exclusives. Nordstrom carries ALL of the beauty brands from Bobbi Brown to Mac.
Shop Activewear. I highly recommend Sweaty Betty, Zella, and Beyond Yoga.
Shop Accessories. Sunglasses, handbags, and jewelry are my go-to’s.
Beth, Kelly, and Chelsea share what they found at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

A cute and comfy outfit for fall.

I’m always a sucker for a shearling coat. This one is casual yet chic. This Faux Shearling Coat is already sold out online, but here are similars:
I tried these cropped jeans just for fun and fell in love with them! I will have them styled later this week with the perfect wrap blouse. The pintuck cotton top is a winner, just not paired with these jeans. But I needed a top to wear for photos!
My number one in-store shopping problem is not looking at the price tag before I try something on. Because, inevitably the item will fit like a glove and I will love it. Such was the case with this Veronica Beard Tweed Dress. I decided to pull the trigger and make the purchase for a few reasons, one is that I am a sucker for a tweed shift dress (so classic); two is that the quality and fit of Veronica Beard clothing is exceptional; and three, it has silver thread running though it which just looks gorgeous in-person.
This is the first item from Steve Madden I have purchased. I like the flirty look and feel of this mini dress; it’s fun for summer. I could see adding a raffia belt and wearing this out to a casual dinner on Tybee when we take our vacation later this summer.
Last year I bought a few pieces from Zella and I wore them all winter. So I wanted to try a couple of their other styles. The material feels good, but because they don’t come in petite, I decided not to purchase these Zella Live in Pocket Joggers and Zella Boxy Modal-Blend Zip-Up Hoodie because they were just a little too long in the legs and sleeves. But if you like your athleisure on the roomy side, these two items can work just fine for petites.
This printed puffed-sleeved Farm Rio dress takes me to tropical island vibes right away. This dress cinches you in all the right places. The perfect summer dress that is light and breezy for a hot day. This could easily be transitioned into fall by adding white cowboy boots and a denim jacket! Unfortunately, this Farm Rio Dress is only in-store, but here are two similar dresses available online.
These black faux leather pants are the perfect length for a pair of heels or a cute platform sneaker. The wide-leg look gives it an upscale feel while still being comfortable. On top, I have the butter bodysuit and this bodysuit felt exactly like the name. This white bodysuit is such a staple to include under a blazer or even just by itself!
These Good American exposed button high waist skinny jeans were the perfect level of stretch. Comfortable and stylish with button detail! The Veronica beard blazer and white bodysuit are making an appearance once again, and this time with a more casual feel!

Love Kelly’s Tweed dress. Looks like the 3 of you made a dent in your wallets but what great choices!
This year I outdid myself with my sale picks… but I’m sorry, not sorry.
I hope you got the cropped flared jeans, Beth, that charming Chelsea got the Farm Rio dress (a ‘knock it out of the park’ on her)! And that your Jackie O. resembling Kelly got the Veronica Beard tweed dress — just awesome on her!
Didn’t Chelsea and Kelly look adorable with their picks?!
