The weather has been glorious here in Georgia, so I’m taking every opportunity to head outdoors. There’s nothing like a spring day, especially in the south. My hydrangeas in the backyard are full of blooms that will burst in the next week or two. But my gorgeous hydrangeas in the front yard took it on the chin last spring with a late freeze. It might take them another year (hopefully, not two) before they come back strong. But hydrangeas are resilient, so the future is bright. I don’t know about you, but I think they are my favorite flower, with peonies coming in a strong second. I recently had two peonies added to my landscape in the front. Hopefully, those pesky deer will leave them alone…

Since I love a sporty, casual chic vibe, I decided a striped tee was the right choice to pop over the refined denim pants, especially since I wanted to add a white denim jacket from Chico’s as my third layer ‘cuz we all know if it’s spring then a third layer is a must!

And since I’m going for that sporty look, a pair of trainers is the perfect footwear. This is the pair I splurged on for my Mother of the Groom dress, but there are more affordable options here, here, and here. But I have to admit these are the cutest darn trainers I’ve ever owned!
