Happy Monday, ladies! Yours truly has been spring cleaning, scheduling home projects, and switching my closet from winter to spring. Yep, this girl is pooped. But in a few weeks, I’ll be ready to welcome spring/summer with open arms. Although I might need a vacation… It’s hard work keeping up with life! As I type, the roofers are overhead working on a new roof! I gave Oscar a trazodone to help ease his nerves ‘cuz it’s NOI-SY and will be for the duration of the project. But today, I am welcoming the week with Spring Pastels.

Since Easter is quite early this year, March 31st to be exact, I’m already thinking about Easter outfits. Typically, I wear a dress, but I love this pastel tweed blazer from Talbots so much that I thought this outfit could be a contender.

The blazer has a matching skirt if you want to go in that direction. I thought a pair of slim ankle pants from Ann Taylor would be perfect, as would a lightweight sweater perfect for spring temps from J. McLaughlin.

A perfect shoe option that will go with any Spring Pastel ensemble is a metallic. These metallic buckle flats from Talbots are classic and comfortable All this Easter outfit needs is an Easter basket.

Hi Beth,
Please comment on why you chose the silver shoes for this outfit. It’s a pretty jacket and it seems to have gold buttons.
Thanks,
Shaun
Hi Shaun,
I mix metals all the time so I’m not locked into matching my shoes to the buttons on the blazer. That said, the overall tone of the outfit is cool which is why I chose silver metallic shoes instead of gold.
Hope this helps!
Thanks, Beth. That makes sense.
Hi Beth, thanks for the suggestion of this outfit for Easter! I had been eyeing the jacket, and I’ve got a version of everything else! I love the silver shoes with it. This was all meant to be. I bought my first Tory Burch ballet flats in silver on clearance back in December and haven’t worn them yet, plus, today in the mail came a coupon for Talbot’s! I bought the jacket and can’t wait for it to come. I just love what you put together here! Thanks!
