Happy Thursday! Spring is really coming into bloom here in Athens â so it's time for Spring Style! I have already begun transitioning my closet from winter to spring and summer, which is always fun because I love to go through my clothes and clean out my closet. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and everything looks so organized and fresh. Part of my spring transition is to bring forward chinos and linen pants. I just added a new pair of lightweight, stretch cotton twill pants to my line-up: The Emmett Pant for Petites. This new welt pocket, striped version from Madewell is a perfect petite wide-leg pant for spring!

The slim-fitting wide-leg style, The Petite Emmett Wide Leg Crop Pant has been a Madewell staple for years now and each season they bring out new versions in varying colors with special details like welt and patch pockets. Several years ago I purchased the Emmett Pant in black denim and I still love them all these years later. Clearly, they were on to something back in 2018 because the Emmett Pant style is still going strong.
These pants fit true to size. I am wearing a petite 25. The fabric has a little stretch and the stretch cotton twill is super comfortable and light. A fun detail is that they have a back seam instead of a front seam.Â
A crisp button-up, The Short Sleeve Shirt by Rochelle Behrens is a perfect top to create a polished look. I wore the black version of this top last week. And as I mentioned then, this is a fantastic shirt if you have issues with a button gap; there are hidden buttons to secure the front right at the breast.

Also from Madewell, the Sabina Flatform Sandal is a wonderfully comfortable sandal with a slight platform sole to give a little lift. The leather straps are very supple and soft. I love the light tan neutral color, they will go with everything! The base of the sole looks like itâs woven grass or wicker, but itâs a woven fabric. These sandals felt so good right out of the box, I am looking forward to wearing them all spring and summer!
Another thing I love about transitioning my wardrobe to spring and summer is bringing out all my summer handbags. I just love wicker accessories and the Hannah Lunchbox is back in stock this year at Frances Valentine. And itâs available in a variety of colors.Â

Perfect for you. Adorable. I really like the sandals too.
Thanks, Rory! These sandals are like walking on clouds, they’re so comfortable. I especially like the wide foot bed! Thanks for stopping by, xo Kelly
Those pants look great on you Kelly. I may have to try them, as I’m 5’1″.
I like the lighter green color, but then there’s the issue of what to style them with on top… can’t think of anything that’s already in my closet, so maybe I’ll try the neutral color. Happy Spring!
Hi Nancy, a white top will go with the lighter green color for sure! Thanks for stopping by, xo Kelly

And that Hannah Lunchbox bag in Wicker Toast is wicked cute! Wow đ
It is, isn’t it, Carolina Girl? I love this bag â such a great investment! xo Kelly
