they say that a nautical look never goes out of style. and i quite agree. if you are looking for timeless elegance think navy, think nautical, think stripes. and nothing says spring quite like a nautical look anchored in navy. navy and white is a no-brainer, but it also pairs nicely with a variety of colors. green, yellow, and pink are all color combo’s i favor – it’s a preppy thing of mine. once your color scheme is in place then it’s a matter of adding accessories to give your outfit a bit of zing. pops of red always work or play it safe with white. and metallics will never fail. this is where your personality is allowed to shine so go for it! what do you have to lose? a fashion faux-pas? i think there are worse things in life to contend with.

I’m a huge stripes fan and you totally rock them in these looks! The first/last one? Totally want to steal all the pieces from your closet. You look fabulous!
talbots strikes again! the striped sweater in the photo you liked is circa 2000. i wore it non-stop one chilly summer in minnesota with my white denim skirt and gold sandals. but it’s still going strong!

Can’t go wrong with navy blue…a good foundation for many outfits. xoxo
