pink and green
when spring arrives (and it will) everyone is ready to pull out their special duds and celebrate. not only do we kiss old man winter buh-bye but this is the season that ushers in graduations, tea parties, bridal and baby showers, easter, mother’s day, or just plain old sunday brunch. there’s no more contending with unpredictable cold weather or snowstorms. only blues skies, okay throw in a grey one now and then, and mild weather. that’s reason alone to get our party game on!
of course, dresses are a favorite of mine come easter sunday. but it’s nice to have separates on hand to mix and match all through spring into summer. and what’s not to love about a springtime color palette? soft pinks, vibrant greens, robin’s egg blue, buttery yellows all sound delightful this time of year as we watch nature burst into bloom.
today’s ootd is all about spring special occasion dressing. easter is only three weeks away! so out came a favorite three-quarter length coat that mr. style refers to as my lab coat. ha ha! it’s hard to see from the photos, but it has a lovely texture and hidden pockets. and we all know white goes with everything. Boden carries a similar coat this year that i discovered when ordering these adorable pink and green pants. i will mention the pants run small so size up. but the fabric has a hint of stretch, so it’s a comfortable fit. the blouse is also from Boden and comes in several colors and gingham! it’s adorable with buttons down the back and is 100% linen. several of you have asked about the Boden fit. it runs true to size. i typically wear a size 6-8 at J.Crew or Talbots, and a size 8 at Boden fits perfectly. but it is a slimmer fit. i hope this helps!

Lovely–and I do remember you saying Mr Style called that your lab coat–too funny, but you be sure to tell him that’s just wrong! hahaaaaa. Boden makes the best pants–they’re colorful and slim and fun. I really like their clothing–it’s typically very well made and they have nice touches like piping around facings, even inside clothes, and nice fabrics that are quality, etc. You look great! Today is dreary and maybe even a chance of snow again this afternoon! So I’m ready for spring to be here to stay.

Love this outfit ! Pants are beautiful. I am considering, I have never purchased pants from Boden but this pair might just get me to do it. I do have other Boden items that I enjoy.
I watch all your YouTube videos and hoping that you will “talk” on the next one ! Your outfits were nice on the last couple videos but video so short and just not the same without you talking ! I fix a cup of tea and settle in to watch and a little sad when they are over so quick and no chitchatting. Enjoy all your good ideas and info.

I love pink and green, always have. My colouring is “spring”, and I have that Irish look, so my dress in similar colors to your pants will be my March 17th look this year.
Green and pink is uncommon, too, which is another reason I’m a fan.
