have the winter doldrums set in yet? if they have, take heart. we’re in the homestretch of cold weather, parkas, gloves, and hats. spring is just around the corner. magazines are already priming us with colorful spreads of the latest spring collections. florals, pastels, splashes of vibrant color. are you ready? i know i am. so let’s take a peek at what spring has in store for us – clothing wise. today, i am partnering with halsbrook to show you two very different, albeit classic, takes on spring. and if you haven’t had the pleasure of shopping at halsbrook, an online destination for women who love sophisticated, classically designed clothes, and accessories, today is your lucky day. halsbrook is a fairly young company, launched in 2012 by Harvard Business School graduate Halsey Schroeder who envisioned an online luxury fashion boutique where classic meets modern. what i particularly like about halsbrook, besides the fact it’s run by a woman entrepreneur, is that they offer styling guides to visually help women put together different looks for any day and any occasion. this, along with concierge-like personal service, combined with the ease of a user-friendly website make shopping at halsbrook a breeze. oh, and did i mention there’s free shipping and returns? plus, there are over 70 american and european designer brands to shop from, including peserico, and saint james – the two dresses featured in today’s ootd. have i whetted your shopping appetite yet? if so, please stop by their lovely online shop for a peek at a spring refresh. halsbrook – where classic meets modern. a boutique after my own heart.
the first dress i’m wearing for today’s ootd is a sleeveless, printed shift dress by italian brand peserico. this is a fun summer dress that could easily take you to a june graduation or an al fresco dinner. just remember to bring along a cashmere wrap in case the temps dip. and the best feature (for me, anyway) is that it has pockets! the navy and white print is what makes this dress a classic that i will reach for time-and-again.
next in line, is a classic navy polo dress by french brand saint james. it’s made of stretch cotton that will be a dream to wear in summertime temps. this dress is both preppy and sporty, and i particularly love the poplin collar that i popped for today’s ootd. this dress will get oodles of wear running errands, touring a vineyard, or tossing in a suitcase for a weekend trip.

Me too!! My first pearl necklace was a gift from my grandma when I was 16 and she had those since 1972 from a trip to Majorca, I use it with my French Kande pendant.
I’m your follower for these two months, I relly enjoy it !
Where is your scarf from? The multi colour adds very nice spice to the navy polo dress. I want to see the whole picture of it to find a similiar one.
hi akiko!
it’s so lovely to hear from you. check your local target. the scarf is sold out on line and there’s no longer a photo available to show you. but it’s square and orange, blue and green. the hardest part of being a style blogger is when items are no longer available to show!
xoxo beth
Thanks for the scarf info! hope I come across one.
