Black and white are always all right especially when it comes to putting an outfit together. This classic color combo is easy on the eyes, which is why many designers use this monochromatic palette in fashion and home design.

And it’s the perfect partner with a feminine white eyelet skirt from Ann Taylor. The black tee gives the outfit balance and keeps it from becoming too frilly or foo foo as my mother would say. Lovely! A white eyelet skirt (pants or top) just scream warm weather to me. As a child, and now as an adult, I always have something in my wardrobe that is white eyelet for those warm and sunny Spring/Summer days. I don’t know if white eyelet is more of a Midwest favorite over other areas of the country, but we loved it in Iowa where I grew up.
This style is a favorite on the east coast as well. It’s about the only style I can wear from my younger days.
