this summer has been a treat for me in spite of higher temps and even higher humidity. there’s no question; california is hard to beat with its nearly perfect year round weather. but i couldn’t be happier to live once again in a climate with all four seasons. when spring sprung here in the south bursts of vibrant blooms came along with it. then the summer heat rolled into town, and it was time to shed a few layers of clothes and sip a cold iced tea, preferably on the front porch. and while fall is still several weeks away there’s a decided change in the air. days are shortening, temps are cooling, and school bells are ringing. it’s fabulous. and i don’t think i am the only one out there who favors fall over all the other seasons. there’s nothing like it. the clothes, the leaves, college football games, hot cider. well, it’s a lovely time of year, and i have a front row seat. and, to kick off it all off, this year i will be attending new york fashion week. i even purchased a cute graphic tee with scenes of new york to take along. guess what? i received an xxs instead of my usual m. so mr. style and i hopped in the car for a quick trip to buford (small cities have a few disadvantages) to make an exchange. upon arrival, i was informed this dang tee is back ordered until october… the best-laid plans often go awry. but we did squeeze in a photo shoot. so this is it, ladies, what i wore to j.crew. don’t get me wrong; there were enough new items at the store to keep my attention. and, the good news is that all of you lovely readers will be following along with me here at the blog as i jet off to NYFW. don’t forget snapchat is where you will catch all of the behind scenes action. as the time draws near, i’ll keep you posted. in the meantime, happy thursday.

How fun that you’ll get to head to Fashion Week! I was in the city last year during FW, and I spotted Carson Kressley hailing a cab. http://christmasparade.net/?p=1208
People will be saying “I spotted Beth Djalali getting into an Uber.” ;)))
Enjoy the heck out of it
I picked up the J Crew Paris t-shirt since my daughter-in-law had just gone with my son, and she loved it.
Have a fabulous week! xoxo
I ‘copy’ so many of your looks and am always complimented. Thank you for sharing your style with us!
Love this outfit. Black and white always rock!
I love the shorts suit look. I think it looks so classy and yet so much more comfortable. NYFW must be a dream come true!
