let’s have some fun today. we’ve featured a lot of black outfits this week. now it’s time to add a bit of fun and color. we’re entering summer soon after all. plus, there’s nothing like a little pick-me-up on a rainy Wednesday. sometimes it may feel impossible to catch a break, especially during these times. so, today we’re talking how i wear patterns for spring and summer. there’s nothing like a fun pattern to brighten my mood. mix. match. add some color here. and some more color there. and bring a smile to your face.
if it’s summer, then it’s time to have some fun. not only fun in the sun but fun with our clothes. this time of year, i aim to stay cool and chic. since i’ve been a big fan of peasant blouses for years, it was time to incorporate one into my ootd. to me, a peasant blouse has a breezy silhouette that conjures all things summer. am i right?!
(similar) striped jeans have hung in my closet since the beginning of the year. of course, a white tee or blouse would be the safe bet with these jeans. but i decided a little pattern mixing was in order to spice things up. especially after i stumbled upon this gorgeous (similar) peasant blouse from Anthropologie. not only is the color scheme happy and bright but this blouse is lightweight cotton making it the perfect choice all summer long.

today’s ootd starts with a lighter than air (similar) J.Crew classic shirt in a Liberty London print. it’s made from lightweight cotton and is perfect with blue jeans, shorts or skirts. popovers are known for their loose fit which comes in handy on a hot day. and i’m a big fan of Liberty London known for their feminine and floral prints. last year i added this vibrant yellow print to my closet. this year it’s blues, pinks, and purples.

florals for spring are always groundbreaking. and this sleeveless floral blouse is no exception. it has a mockneck tie which contrasts nicely with the floral print. and if you are looking for the perfect pant for work or any special occasion, look no further. this pleated pant is made from doubleweave fabric dyed and finished in Japan. the drape is exquisite! which is why it’s perfect for special occasions. the pant is lined with front zip with hook and bar closure. plus, a self-tie belt. i’m wearing a size 8. the fit is true to size. and it comes with a matching blazer in double weave fabric – the hutton.

I know these are old photos, but you look beautiful! I really like your haircut; you look so stylish.
I like the pastels and style of the peasant blouse. Looks so pretty on you/
Wow! Love all these outfits. I’ve always liked peasant blouses too. I just bought two for the long hot summer here but wasn’t sure how to style them. Its wonderful to find this post this morning.
Lovely tops, and I do like those white pants with the belt, too. It is pouring rain in our neck of the woods, too. (Well, it seems to be around the country today.) So your spots of color did me good. All these tops are soft and pretty. We’ve had the nicest spring, and so I suppose these rainy days are to be expected. We probably need the rain, but I’m missing the sun and color. Thanks for the cheer on a dreary wet day.
I really love the floral top and striped pants. What a fun and unique combination!
I sure like the top that has a lot of green in it, like a green sash. Somehow I think we can think that skirts will be where the print is. I like this top!
I like the hairstyle. Please share. In need of a more fashionable short hairstyle
