the temps are finally cooling down here in georgia. so guess what i’m hauling out of my closet? well, to be truthful, i recently purchased this schoolboy tipped linen blazer. so technically i’m putting something into my closet. but we all know i’m a sucker for blazers because they are so darn versatile, and a classic essential. this particular one has fab finishing details (check out the striped lining and gold buttons), and it’s blue which goes with just about everything. it’s been sitting in my closet for the past few weeks, so i decided to bust it out on our recent trip to atlanta. notice the red flats are back in action today. along with my trusty pearls. yup, this preppy girl couldn’t be happier! sometimes, it’s just that simple to pull an ootd together. if you have been following the blog for any length of time you have learned this look is my uniform. take a look here and here. if i can impart any advice it would be this: create a style philosophy that makes you feel good. because we all know that happy feeling we get when we’re rockin’ an outfit. happy tuesday!

I love seeing and wearing red shoes with monochromatic looks!
then you know how fabulous a red pair of shoes truly is! i’ve been on the hunt for the past several years for the perfect pair. i think i found them!
xoxo
I have a jacket that looks just like that and saw it in J Crew, and was attracted to it all over again. Mine’s not linen, though. The red shoes are fun with it.
what? no striped lining? does that mean you’ll have to break down and buy this one? you won’t be sorry…
xoxo
Love the jacket and the striped lining! Red shoes always add jazz to an outfit. You’re wearing my favorite belt…need to find one… xoxo
this belt is one of my favorites. but i’m losing some of the crystals off of the belt buckle so it hasn’t seen as much action this past year. i’m certain there is a solution that i’ll have to look into. in the meantime, it comes out now and then to perk up a simple outfit.
